How Park King valet-style parking works
The process is straightforward:
- Book online with the optional "key custody" toggle. Mention any add-on services (cleaning, tire change, EV charging, fuel refill).
- Drop off your car at our location. Our staff takes the keys, signs the handover protocol, and gives you a key receipt.
- Take the 4-minute shuttle to the Hamburg Airport terminal.
- While you travel, we park your car in our fenced lot. Add-on services are performed (cleaning during the trip, EV charging continuously).
- On return, call our hotline. We have your car ready when the shuttle drops you back. Keys returned, you drive off.
Premium add-on services for valet customers
The real value of valet-style parking is the additional services we can perform while you are away:
- Interior cleaning: Vacuum, wipe-down dashboard, windows. From 25 € — return to a fresh car.
- Exterior wash: Hand-wash partner service. From 35 € — gleaming car on return.
- EV charging: Continuous charging during your trip. Free if booked at booking.
- Tire change: Drop off summer/winter tires, we coordinate with our partner garage. From 50 € + tire shop fees.
- Fuel refill: We fill up the tank before pickup. Fuel cost + 5 € service fee.
- Light maintenance check: Battery, tire pressure, oil level (visual). Free.
Valet vs self-parking — when does it make sense?
Valet-style parking with key custody makes the most sense in these cases:
- Long-term stays (7+ days): Allows us to perform charging, cleaning, light maintenance.
- EV/hybrid vehicles: Charging is much easier when we have the keys.
- Premium vehicles: Audi Q8, Range Rover, Porsche Cayenne — additional protection.
- Business trips: Return to a clean car for the next meeting.
- Forgot something in the car: Hotline can retrieve items from the car for you (limited service).
For simple short trips with self-parking preference, key custody is optional and not required.
How is this different from terminal-based valet at Hamburg Airport?
Hamburg Airport itself does not offer a true terminal valet service (drop-off at the entrance). Park King is the closest approximation: drop off keys at our nearby location, we handle the parking. The price difference vs hypothetical terminal valet:
- Terminal valet (typical EU airports): 50–100 €/day
- Park King valet-style: from 4.90 €/day + optional add-ons
The 5-min drive from your home to our lot vs the airport's terminal is a small extra effort for a much lower total cost.
